OUT OF ORDER

I don’t know about you but I simply can not function in clutter! I am far from a neat freak but I pride myself on keeping a tidy house where everything has its place and when things are used they are returned to their rightful places. Well how many of you know that life happens? One week is just a little bit busier than the next.

It starts with me laying one outfit on the ironing board promising to hang it up when I return but then feeling too tired to do so… and then a pair of shoes is kicked off by the bed. Before I know it, I’m making excuses as to why it doesn’t matter if I throw those jeans at the base of my bed. What’s one more article of clothing going to hurt? Of course, life doesn’t slow down and now I’m looking at a sea of clothes and shoes that have yet to make it back into the closet where they belong. I’ve been trying to get a day to myself to just clean and organize my entire house but I’ve been so overwhelmed by work, projects, meetings, social obligations, and events that keep me away from home on a daily basis. Everyday I come home annoyed at what I see but I’m too drained to do anything about it! Every morning I awake to find that the cleaning fairy has yet to visit! This morning was no different.
