Don’t be alarmed by the title, this is real BOLD and FABULOUS talk!! I had something totally different to share today but after reading an article in the Washington Post this week, I felt compelled to share with our readers.
My desire is that this post will bring hope to women and MEN, young and OLD, who know their worth, are waiting patiently, and keeping themselves to themselves until marriage. And I’m not talking to virgins only! Let’s remember… 2 Cor. 5:17 reads, “Any man that be in Christ is a new creature. Old things have past away. Behold all things are new.” It’s not old fashion, it’s not impossible, and it’s never too late no matter what path you’ve taken in the past!
I understand that many people do not have living examples to follow. I also know that many churches are too afraid to address the subject of sex for whatever the reason. Thankfully, my church is not one of them. I thank God for their boldness! I’ve attached a link to a story of two people who I am happy to say represent my church famly SOFCC and see the tales of their marriage made in heaven (literally!) Please take a moment to read… The Wedding that was WORTH THE WAIT!
So, on the eve of my birthday, I’m thinking of what this new year will hold. When everyone else is making birthday wishes, I’ll be making birthday confessions. The word “wish” seems like I don’t believe it will happen but hoping that it could. I’ve grown to understand that I never have to hope again. As long as it lines up with the will of God for my life, it’s as good as done the moment I part my lips.
One of my confessions is that I will meet the man God has perfectly designed for me to live out our lives together, raise a family, and serve God. I’m done with the list… (okay, not really, I still got to have a man taller than me! lol) but honestly, I’m done choosing my mate. I’m committed to following His instructions, living out my purpose, and trusting that God knows what I want and what I need!
So, I hope you took a moment to read one of the most romantic and inspiring stories to help keep you on course and know that this type of love exists and can be yours if you put God first.

I read the article first thing this morning and it started my day with a smile. What a wounderful love story. I am in total agreement with you on your confession. Although this was a great year for you, this birthday will be the beginning of the BEST YEARS ever.

I read that article yesterday on Facebook and I was and am still really blessed by their story. God truly does reward the faithful. There are SOOOOO many examples of people who do it the opposite way. So its just honestly refreshing on another level.
You are walking to please God as well. Even when you don’t feel like it, you continue to do the things He has called you to do. You are faithful as well. I love you and pray that you have one of the best birthdays of your life today!!!!
