Refueled

“Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21

In December 2012, the plan was to dissolve “The BOLD & The FABULOUS” blog, which for me meant my blogging run was over. I wasn’t upset about it at all. Although I loved it, I knew that everything had its season and that we had a great run while it lasted. Now it was on to other things. Little did I know that my involvement with “The BOLD & The FABULOUS” was preparation for me to come from behind the scenes to find my voice and build enough confidence to share it with the world. If you look back to my very first blog in July 2010, you will read all about my hesitations. I won’t drill down on that any more than necessary, but just know that it was not my desire to share my stories with the world. However, as my relationship with God grew, my desires began to take a backseat and it became more important for me to fulfill His purpose for my life. Continue reading “Refueled”

Watch Me Be Happy!!

Today I woke up and started my day with an excerpt from Joyce Meyer’s “Starting Your Day Right.” The book was a gift from my Aunt Robyn for my birthday and it is simply amazing how timely the messages have been. Today was no exception. It was so on point, I have to share it in its entirety. Continue reading “Watch Me Be Happy!!”

Desires of My Heart

Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.”

There is truly no greater joy than knowing that you are living a life pleasing to God. Obedience is never easy when your Will is constantly competing with His Will. The sooner you are able to let go and give it all over, the sooner you will begin to see the rewards of your faithfulness. It’s a daily decision. Don’t think for a minute that the moment you get saved that you automatically understand what it means to truly walk out a Christian lifestyle. I’ve received Christ at age 13 and trust that I am still learning and seeking wisdom in every area.

Freedom of Faith

Has anyone ever asked you why you are Christian? Why do you believe in Jesus Christ? If so, what was your answer?… and if you’ve never been asked that, what would your answer be? I’m going to go out on a limb and make a generalization (something I rarely do) and say that a vast majority of Christians never really had to choose their faith. Without having done an ounce of research I’d say that many of us were brought up in the church from the time we were babies. Others may have known about church but were not necessarily considered church- goers. None-the-less, for many of us it has been engrained in us that Jesus is Lord whether you live by the Word or not. Love & Peace In Spite Of…

In life, we are challenged to co-exist with all different types of people with varying personalities, inhabitations, and belief systems. The battle I face, as do many “practicing” Christians, is loving them in spite of. One of my biggest challenges is accepting that God is pushing me to the forefront to share my life and my heart with others. Have you ever tried to rebuke something that you know was of God?? I know it’s silly when you know that God’s Word is exactly what you want to hear, but I have to say that the natural part of me can be so stubborn. If I did not have the revelation that I have of God’s love, I would be content in my ways. However, Continue reading “Love & Peace In Spite Of…”

Priceless Beauty Comes with a Heart

Proverbs 31:29-31 ~ “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

I would like to thank my fellow Bold & Fab sister Jocelyn (Indigo) for her words in her last post. It was her words that sparked the idea for what you are reading today. She wrote, “The prettiest face on earth is but an empty hole on your neck w/o the ability and willingness to have a HEART.”

In a world that is so obsessed with looks, material possessions, and status symbols, it is so refreshing to meet people who have all of the above but use it to uplift others and glorify God. Continue reading “Priceless Beauty Comes with a Heart”
