Your Boaz should NOT be just about good looks, a nice smile, smooth words, nice job and car, muscular build, fashionable clothes, big connections, etc. If he does have all that, great! But that is NOT what you should be looking for.
If you want to recognize the guy that God is sending you, you must think like God. How does God choose? Let’s look at what God said to Samuel when He was selecting a king for Israel.
“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (I Samuel 16:7)” – Nikisha Brunson urbanbushbabes.com Continue reading “Boaz vs. Bozo”
Discount Shoppers Not Welcomed!!
I’ve been a bit out of it lately as you could probably tell from my last blog. To me it read like a bunch of rambling words with no clear direction of where they were going. I was so unmotivated to do anything these past few weeks but I’m making up for it this week! I can’t say I’m completely cured but I’m back to share a valuable lesson that was spoken to me a few days ago. This is probably the boldest message I’ve written thus far and may step on some toes but it’s a necessary topic that many churches shy away from to the detriment of the members who battle with it everyday. Define What YOU Want!
It’s often so easy for us to say we want a better paying job, a husband, a wife, our own business, etc but how often do we set aside time to clearly define those things. As usual, I’ll use myself as an example. Since I began my career, I knew I wanted to be a TV producer. I’ve always been a visual person with tons of creative ideas and opinions on what I would love to see on screen. I jumped into my career the first chance I got and went with the flow. I wasn’t quite in the position I dreamed of but I was happy to be in my field and getting paid decent for it. The years passed and I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t progressing in the areas I wanted to be. Each day became more difficult and I couldn’t see an end to the tunnel. It wasn’t until I heard the words of a man who has made such an extraordinary impact on my life that I was able to see passed the situation. My pastor once said, “The power to define is the power to fulfill. You can’t fulfill what you are unable to define.” Continue reading “Define What YOU Want!”
The Best Sex of Your Life
Don’t be alarmed by the title, this is real BOLD and FABULOUS talk!! I had something totally different to share today but after reading an article in the Washington Post this week, I felt compelled to share with our readers.
My desire is that this post will bring hope to women and MEN, young and OLD, who know their worth, are waiting patiently, and keeping themselves to themselves until marriage. And I’m not talking to virgins only! Let’s remember… 2 Cor. 5:17 reads, “Any man that be in Christ is a new creature. Old things have past away. Behold all things are new.” It’s not old fashion, it’s not impossible, and it’s never too late no matter what path you’ve taken in the past! Continue reading “The Best Sex of Your Life”
