You’re Amazing Pt.2 “Stay the Course”

Okay so, it’s been a few weeks since the Women’s Advance I mentioned in my last blog and let’s just say that things have been taking off like rockets in my life. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING, that the speakers imparted into my life has shown up in some form or fashion… and this doesn’t mean it’s been all good things. Many of their lessons included warnings that the enemy’s job is to DESTROY you and will show itself as soon as you leave a “safe” environment. But what’s funny is that I didn’t have to leave the Advance to see him in full force. But I’ll save that little piece for the end. For now, I’d like to speak on two areas that forever changed my life and my thoughts on where I am in my current state.

YOU’RE AMAZING PT.1: “BOTTLE IT UP”

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to attempt to bring you along the journey I had with over 400 other women in a remote town of Maryland for this year’s  “You’re Amazing” Women’s Advance/Retreat. God’s presence was so overwhelming in that atmosphere that you couldn’t help but leave there refreshed, renewed, and empowered to take your walk to another level. We were there for three days enjoying speakers, an anointed praise team, social activities, and simply being away from the mundane routine that so many of us fall into on a daily basis. Child-like Dreams!!

I had such a vivid imagination as a child. I could transform my reality in seconds and take on the make believe life as if it was the real deal. I would be a school teacher one minute, a princess the next, a mommy to my two favorite baby dolls, a hairdresser… you name it, I could dream it up and act it out. Somewhere along the way real life took over. I no longer found the time to imagine… to dream. Responisibilities, career, relationships took up my time and imagining a different life seemed so childish. That is until until my first lady, Dr. Dee Dee, did a lesson on “Dreams Do Come True.” It was such a powerful lesson, I wish I could post it for all of you to witness.
