Child-like Dreams!!

I had such a vivid imagination as a child. I could transform my reality in seconds and take on the make believe life as if it was the real deal. I would be a school teacher one minute, a princess the next, a mommy to my two favorite baby dolls, a hairdresser… you name it, I could dream it up and act it out. Somewhere along the way real life took over. I no longer found the time to imagine… to dream. Responisibilities, career, relationships took up my time and imagining a different life seemed so childish. That is until until my first lady, Dr. Dee Dee, did a lesson on “Dreams Do Come True.” It was such a powerful lesson, I wish I could post it for all of you to witness. The day is almost over and I’m just getting around to my weekly post (smh). My apologies for the late hour but lately I’ve been having a hard time focusing. Like many folks, I have a lot going on and some weeks I handle it better than others. What’s Love Got to Do with It?

This post was inspired by the many status posts that I have come across as we lead up to the big day. What day you ask? Valentine’s Day. Yes, ladies and gentlemen we are approaching one of the most dreaded days for singles across the globe… and why is that? Because sometime ago, it was established that Valentine’s Day would be a day for lovers. It would be a day that florists, greeting card designers, and jewelry store owners would maximize their opportunity and make a fortune off of consumer emotions. It’s really not unlike any other holiday that has become so commercialized. So it’s my heart’s desire to bring light to what we should all truly be celebrating next week. I’m trying to save someone from breaking out the sappy movies and tub of ice cream to pacify the spirit of loneliness. Elizabeth

I’m sitting on the train with two hours to spare and here I am typing to my B&F family. I’m beginning to understand how therapeutic this is for me. I know, I know… this isn’t about me but I’ve been a writer all my life. It wasn’t until July 2010 that I began to make it public. It Seems Right

Ever since last Friday night, I’ve had the overwhelming sense that God is preparing me for something beyond my imagination. On that Friday, after 2 1/2 hours of unthinkable traffic, completely flustered, and irritated to no end… I finally reach the doors and get seated comfortably at the APEX conference just in time for Vickie Winans to grace the stage.
