Timetables

“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
timetableWhen you think of some of your most prized possessions what comes first to mind? In the materialistic world we live in, it’s so easy to list out all the tangible things that we couldn’t live without. They don’t even have to be costly things just something that you would hate to have taken from you. Here’s what I’m willing to bet. Many of your lists would not include “time.” Time is such a fragile part of life. It can be taken away in an instance without any warning but we take it for granted far too often.

Now I don’t want your every waking thought to be about when you’re leaving this earth. That’s far from the point of this post. What I want you to focus on is embracing the time that you have and doing something meaningful with it. We waste so much time worrying about things, people, and events that simply don’t matter in the big picture we call life. I encourage you to take inventory of your day.
What amount of your day fulfills your purpose or even allows to time to get to know what that purpose is?
How much time is spent trying to keep up with other people’s timetables?
How much of it is spent living a life that looks good on the outside but feels like prison on the inside?
How much do you spend not living in the moments that bring you peace because it’s not what’s normal?
I ask you all these questions because I recently took inventory of my own time and came up short in some areas. Time is the only thing we can never get back. Tangible possessions can be replaced but the time we have to make impact is steadily ticking and we have to stay focused. Many people will come in and out of your life for the sole purpose of distracting you from reaching your full potential. Be discerning about the people you invest time in. Seek God for approval of those in your core circle. If they’re not challenging you and opening you up to discovering new things about yourself then it’s probably not worth making them priorities. Wake up everyday with the mind to be better than the day before. But let me be clear that it’s YOUR kind of better. The days of comparing your life to others needs to end now because God wants you to be uniquely YOU. He created you just the way you are to fulfill a purpose that only you can. If you’re busy trying to be someone else or go along with someone else’s timetable then you’re missing out on a life worth living!
Remember this… God is the author of time. No matter how much time you think you’ve wasted, as long as you have the heart to achieve it, God can make good out of the time you have left. Things that you think would take you 10 years could be done in 2 if you believe. The older I get, the more I experience, and the more I let go of my own “perfect” timetable of when things should happen for me. I keep seeing that God’s timing is the only time that matters. So stop stressing out on what you think should have already happened. Stop daydreaming of the day you’ll get that thing you’ve been desiring and start living your life with the focus on being who God has called you to be. Conquer that mindset and your time will never be wasted.
With love always,
Happy Tuesday!

  1. Reblogged this on The BOLD & The FABULOUS and commented:

We’ve all set our own timetables and most of them are based off of what we think should happen because of when it happened for someone else. Stop it! God is the author time. Seek after Him and let Him reveal His perfect plan for your life. It’s Tuesdays with Bianca!!!

If they’re not challenging you and opening you up to discovering new things about yourself then it’s probably not worth making them priorities.” is EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
